Two birds to report. First a nice dark Honey Buzzard seen from the EN4 this afternoon just north of the Matola River bridge, ca 20km north of Maputo.

Second; there's a really good candidate Eleonora's Falcon along Av Julius Nyerere this evening, over the Chinese Embassy. I saw it twice briefly in not great light and would have consigned it to the bucket market 'probably a funny Peregrine again' except that it was catching insects.

It looked too large, heavily built and long tailed to be a sooty or hobby, but I would need to see it better to be certain. Do look out for it in the evenings..
